A recent report into the gas analyser market has found that the sector is set for solid growth over the next few years.
In the report titled ‘Process Analyzer Market by Segments, Types & Geography – Global Trends & Forecast to 2020’, researchers explained that improvements in product quality are behind the increased demand. The total revenue of the market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.6 per cent from this year until 2020.
“The improvement in product quality and optimisation of manufacturing process without affecting the profitability has always been a difficult task to achieve for any firm,” the report said.
However, with the technogical improvements of gas analysers in recent years, it has been made possible for firms to get the balance between product quality and profitability right.
Gas analysers are basically devices that can detect various levels of toxic outputs of different workplaces. This includes carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane that can all, in high amounts, lead to poor quality products and worker health.
The report outlines that industries that are increasing their demand for gas analysers for emission monitoring and quality control are largely pharmaceutical and biotechnological. However, there are another number of areas that can also benefit from gas analysers.
“[This includes] cement and glass, chemical/petrochemical, food and beverages, mining, pharmaceutical, power/utility, pulp and paper, and water and wastewater treatment,” the report said.
It is expected that with further technological advances that the gas analyser industry will continue to grow.
Options available for industry
To detect gases present during industry work, Testo have a number of options.
This includes the testo 320 Gas Analyser Low Cost Kit. This instrument is perfect for avoiding malfunctions or emergencies and is designed for efficient flue gas analysis. The device can also measurement draughts, pressure, ambient CO, differential temperature and gas leak detection.
